LeBron James is visiting Las Vegas with the Lakers aiming to win the NBA’s first In-Season Tournament. However, his personal goal involving Las Vegas has a much broader scope.
“It’s crazy to say, but Las Vegas is a sports town.” said. “Look at the Aces, the field hockey team, the Raiders, the A’s are coming here. Of course we just had F1 here-it’s a sports town. I hope to bring my franchise here someday. That’s the ultimate goal.”.

LeBron first said he wanted to own a team in Las Vegas last year and reiterated his desire while also mentioning the interest of local fans:
“They know what they’re looking at, they show great support and the sport is gigantic here right now. They definitely support their clubs, that’s for sure.”
The 38-year-old James already has a partial stake in FC Liverpool and the Boston Red Sox, and rumors of possible NBA expansion to Las Vegas and Seattle are well documented.
Let’s see if LeBron James really will be able to achieve this as an entrepreneur as well.
