The debate has been going on for years and shows no signs of slowing down. When it comes to the greatest NBA player of all time, LeBron James has his supporters and so does Michael Jordan.

Much of the GOAT debate depends on who is trying to make the case. Older fans who saw Jordan lead the Chicago Bulls to six titles in the 1990s strongly argue that no one can touch Jordan. Many younger basketball fans, who have only seen Jordan’s highlights but get a chance to see LeBron almost every night, argue for King.
James and his supporters added to their argument tonight as the Lakers defeated the Brooklyn Nets 11 to 104. James had one of his best games of the season, scoring 40 points, adding 7 rebounds and dishing out 5 assists. Overall, James shot 13 of 17 from the field, including a spectacular 9 of 10 from beyond the arc. He also made 5 of 6 free throws at his disposal.
