LeBron James and Milan: “RedBird right owner to return to dream”

LeBron James does many things in the business world, and among them he is a minority owner of Liverpool and has invested in AC Milan to help RedBird.

King made some statements to the microphones of the The Sports Gazette, on newsstands this morning, dwelling on the Rossoneri club and its owner, Gerry Cardinale.

Below are the words of LeBron James on the future of Milan:

“I love European soccer and I think Milan is a very special club, on and off the field. There is a great opportunity to bring Milan back among the top teams and top brands of European soccer in the world. Milan is a world-class city at the intersection of fashion, sports, entertainment and culture. Milan is its perfect ambassador and RedBird the right owner to bring Milan back to its dreams of glory.”

The Rossoneri fans felt betrayed at the exact beginning when the ownership decided to “kick out” Paolo Maldini and say goodbye to Sandro Tonali. But now they seem very happy with the market that American ownership is making.

Let’s see if indeed the Rossoneri will return to their former glory, not forgetting that they just reached a Champions League semifinal, then tragically lost to Inter.
