The Lakers are creating a “championship or bust” mentality around their training facility in El Segundo, California, with Austin Reaves, LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, Anthony Davis and Christian Wood among the team’s key players for 2023-2024.
Recently, they informed Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James that he is the oldest player in the NBA at age 38. This comes on the heels of the retirement of Miami Heat’s longtime player Udonis Haslem at the age of 43.
On Thursday night, a video of LeBron’s reaction to the news of the “oldest player in the NBA” was posted that has been viewed more than 1.5 million times on X.

Last season James scored 28.9 points, 8.3 points and 6.8 assists for Darvin Ham’s team. He did not play as well as James in his prime, but his production was nothing short of remarkable.
The hope for Lakers fans is that age is just a number for “The King” in his 21st season, probably his best chance to match Lakers legend Kobe Bryant with championship number five. We’ll see if he succeeds in what he is hoping for so much.
