Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves shines in 128-124 double overtime victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, finishing with a triple-double and making the lead basket with less than a minute to go.
Reaves put up 29 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists in 47 minutes of play as the Lakers opened a six-game away series in Milwaukee by winning their fourth consecutive game despite trailing by 19 points in the fourth quarter and had never led in regulation time.
After this victory, the Lakers improved to 6-4 in games without LeBron James. The Californians have a better winning percentage (60 percent) with James away from home than when he is on the court (54.8 percent).
It is unrealistic for this to suggest in any way that the Lakers are better off without James. However, this statistic shows that the Lakers are no longer easy opponents without James. Last season they went 13-14 (.481) without him, compared to 30-25 (.545 in wins) with him.
They are now a better team and have players who can win games, starting with the very aforementioned Austin Reaves, as well as Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell.
