Klay Thompson regains QUINTET for Warriors and DOMINATES Miami Heat

Klay Thompson was the match’s leading scorer with 28 points and six threes against the Miami Heat tonight, leading the Golden State Warriors to a crucial 113-92 victory as they struggle to be eligible for the postseason.

The future Hall-of-Famer is now averaging 18.4 points per game in March and has made 41 percent of his attempts from behind the arc, putting his early-season struggles behind him.

The move that helped spark Thompson’s midseason turnaround, however, was reversed in South Beach. On Tuesday, he started in the quintet for the first time since Feb. 14. alongside Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga and Draymond Green, Moving Brandon Podziemski to the bench. and providing Golden State’s starters additional spacing and scoring incisiveness they needed.

After the game against the Miami Heat, Klay Thompson — who played 31 minutes against Miami, in line with his typical time off the bench in recent weeks — was asked if returning to the starting lineup was any different.

“Not really.” replied. “I just try to keep the same approach. Have fun, communicate, get great results.”

Thompson shot 11 of 20 overall and 6 of 14 from three-point range, also collecting five rebounds and dishing out two assists.
