Kyrie Irving a few days ago suffered a right foot injury during the game against Portland. The point guard of the Dallas Mavericks fell and soon after Dwight Powell fell on Kyrie himself, causing an unnatural twisting of the ankle. Irving walked off the court and did not return.
Although tests showed no fractures, Jason Kidd before tonight’s game against the Lakers stated that currently Irving is wearing a brace and moving with crutches due to a heel contusion. In short, not very encouraging news for a short-term recovery of the player, who in this start of the season is maintaining 23.0 points and 5.9 assists average.
Kyrie Irving (right heel contusion) is wearing a protective boot and using crutches, Jason Kidd said. No definitive timetable on when Irving will return.
