Draymond Green just can’t seem to stay off the radar as he was issued a flagrant-2 foul and automatic ejection from the game with the Phoenix Suns after punching Jusuf Nurkic in the face.
The incident occurred midway through the third quarter as Green and Nurkic faced each other while waiting for the Warriors to put the ball back on the court from the sideline. When Nurkic grabbed the right side of Green’s waist, the Warriors veteran wildly thrust his right arm in the opposite direction, making contact with Nurkic’s face.

The action warranted an immediate review by the referees. After a relatively brief video review and discussion among the referees, the maximum punishment for Green was announced, to zero surprise. This apparently includes Green, who gave up his usual theatrics after ejections to rush back to the locker room. Perhaps we can consider this as a small improvement?
Let’s see how long the NBA will punish Draymond Green for yet another chosen act, this time against the hapless Jusuf Nurkic, who certainly did nothing to incite him, at least in this action.
