Initially Kevin Durant seemed able to recover from his knee injury in time for theAll Star Game, instead he will reportedly have to wait at least until after the break. The Brooklyn Nets superstar, out since Jan. 8, was among the starters chosen by the Western Conference and will therefore have to be replaced. This is the third consecutive year that KD has been injured close to All Star Weekend and is forced to forfeit. Last year he was replaced by Jarrett Allen.
As always, it will be Adam Silver who will choose the replacement. Names in contention: James Harden, Jimmy Butler, Trae Young, Pascal Siakam, Jalen Brunson and Paolo Banchero.
Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant (MCL sprain) will not play in the All-Star game on Feb. 19 in Salt Lake City, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.
