It wasn’t a simple “ankle pain” that kept him out Kevin Durant last night against the Thunder. The superstar of the Phoenix Suns, who has played only 3 games so far with the new team, had hurt herself in warm-ups by slipping in a wet spot of parquet floor, under the basket. It was a sprained ankle and KD Will be reevaluated in 2-3 weeks.
According to reports from Shams Charania, the situation today would already be much better than yesterday and the ankle would already be less swollen. There is optimism of being more around 2 weeks out than 3, with Durant then expected to be back on the court for the last regular season games in late March or early April.
The Suns and Durant are hopeful of progress during the re-evaluation window that allows for the 13-time All-Star to return to action shortly after two weeks, sources said. Good news for KD and Phoenix following scary fall in warmups. https://t.co/BJmSPdBwMx
