Karl-Anthony Towns reveals that an illness caused him to lose so many pounds

Karl-Anthony Towns appeared quite a bit “lighter” at the training camp of the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was the center himself who revealed, however, what happened: the weight loss is due to a disease (unrelated to Covid) that forced him to be hospitalized in recent weeks. A circumstance even described as “drastic” by KAT, who although he did not specify what the illness was, nevertheless confessed the difference in weight between now and before the hospitalization. Jordyn Woods, his girlfriend, had recently written on social media that she had to take Towns to the hospital just after his 25th birthday.

Towns added that he only started walking again last Saturday, and recounted:

There were more drastic things to worry about than basketball. I wasn’t too published from basketball lately, but I miss playing, I love the sport. I missed my teammates.

According to the measurements, Towns went from 113 kg to 104 kg, a loss of almost 10 kg in weight.
