As promised by Adam Silver, after the end of the NBA Finals came the decision on the punishment for Ja Morant. The star of the Memphis Grizzlies, after already being removed from the team for several games for the same reason, had again shown a gun in live Instagram after elimination from the Playoffs. For this the NBA decided to suspend him for the first 25 games of next season.
A very long suspension, considering that in normal cases players are disqualified for only a few matches. Morant, on the other hand, will miss almost a third of the season, obviously without receiving salary, as per NBA rules. For the player, who hopefully can learn to at least be more observant when using social media, some speculated even a full season in the pits.
