Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has finally ended his silence after going viral over another gun scandal.
In a statement, Morant said he takes responsibility for his action, which drew criticism not only from the media and other NBA personalities, but also from Memphis fans. Although he understands that people may not trust him now since he is a repeat offender, he promised to strive to be better.
“I know I have let down a lot of people who supported me. This is a journey and I recognize that there is more work to be done. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full responsibility for my actions. I am committed to continuing to work on myself.” said Morant.
