Golden State opens preseason by winning in Japan and rediscovering James Wiseman

NBA basketball is officially back. At noon Italian time, the first two-ball of the preseason was raised in Japan between Golden State Warriors e Washington Wizards. In the end it was the defending champions who won, 96-87, in an exhibition competition, in which the superstars took part for a handful of minutes.

Steph Curry was on the court 13′, scoring 6 points on an unenviable 1/7 shooting. Jordan Poole did even worse: 1/10 and 5 total points. Klay Thompson did not play, while Draymond Green totaled 4 points and 8 rebounds in 13′. The most positive note for coach Steve Kerr was definitely the James Wiseman’s return to the court after a year and a half.: the center was the MVP of the meeting with 20 points and 9 rebounds in 23′.

For Washington, led by host Rui Hachimura only in double figures with 13 points, 9 points from Bradley Beal and a nice dunk by Kyle Kuzma.

The two teams will also face each other tomorrow, also in Japan, for the second and final game of this preseason away from American soil.
