From NBA to NFL, Anthony Edwards’ future already written?

Anthony Edwards, star of the Minnesota Timberwolves, believes he can become the first athlete to play in the NBA and NFL. Edwards was featured on Marco Summers’ talk show Open Thoughts, where the Timberwolves star was asked if he was capable of playing American football and if any player had achieved a similar feat.

“I think I’m the first.”, Anthony Edwards responded confidently about the possibility of moving to the NFL.

But with his basketball career as his top priority, Edwards says he still has goals to achieve.

“As a team, we want to win an NBA title. After that, we’ll think about it.” Anthony Edwards said.

The Timberwolves are in first place in the Western Conference with a 10-3 record, equaling their best start since the 2000-01 season, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Edwards is averaging 26.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game in 14 season appearances.

Let’s see if the Minnesota Timberwolves phenom really will decide to switch sports, kind of like Michael Jordan did for a few months by giving himself to baseball. First, however, he has to bring home a ring with the NBA franchise and then he can think about the rest.
