Simone Fontecchio, wing for the Utah Jazz and Italbasket, was Gianluca Gazzoli’s guest on his podcast Stop by the BSMT where he talked about his first year in the NBA but also what he had to go through to get where he is now:
“Nobody thought I would go to the NBA, especially when I played in Milan, the last year I played really very little and nobody could have imagined something like that. I could never have imagined such a thing either. When I was in Milan, I didn’t feel inferior to anybody. Mike James used to bust my chops because he wanted me to play. It pleased me and gave me even more incentive to train.”
Of course, he talked about really many topics with Gianluca Gazzoli, including the missed free throws with France last summer and the beautiful environment in the National Team, also thanks to Pozzecco. So we suggest you enjoy the whole interview because it’s always nice to listen to Simone Fontecchio’s journey through BSMT’s Passa podcast.
