Simone Fontecchio a few weeks ago, just before the trade deadline, experienced firsthand a trade that took him from the Utah Jazz to the Detroit Pistons and talked about it with Il Corriere della Sera after the contested loss at Madison Square Garden:
“Honestly. I don’t feel like reliving that moment because it wasn’t easy, but the NBA is such a world and you have to accept it. I can certainly say that it was an unexpected transfer, one puts it down but you don’t understand it until you live it, given the number of people in your family that get involved. We are adapting, both me and my family, and we are moving on.”
Fontecchio then added on this trade between the Utah Jazz and the Detroit Pistons:
“It had never happened to me to change teams so abruptly in the middle of the year and this is definitely a totally new aspect for me. But again, I knew it and we are living with it. Now they have to finish the season the best they can and win as many games as possible with these guys here.”, concluded the Motor City franchise’s newest player.
