ESPN put Bronny James in Top 10 for 2024 Draft

Still unknown is the future of Bronny James, who is nearing the end of his high school career at Sierra Canyon. LeBron’s son will soon have to clear his reservations about which college he will attend starting next year, with the goal of playing in the NBA as soon as possible, possibly teaming up with his father. A few weeks ago LeBron had stated that Bronny could choose basically any university. At the moment the most popular ones seem to be Oregon, Ohio State and USC.

But speaking of the NBA, until a few months ago it was believed that Bronny was even in danger of staying undrafted in 2024. However, the 2004 class’ stock quickly rose, first to a call-up early in the second round and now, according to ESPN’s Mock Draft, even in the Top 10. According to expert Jonathan Givony, Bronny James would already be the best perimeter defender in the class of 2024, with good playmaking and shooting. In short, good blood doesn’t lie….

The hype surrounding the boy is also due at least in part to the figure of his father: LeBron has repeatedly said he wants to play with him for at least a year before retiring, and his contract with the Lakers will expire in the very summer of 2024. At that point James might actually decide to reduce his salary and sign for the franchise that will have chosen Bronny only a few weeks earlier.
