Giannis Antetokounmpo\’s Milwaukee Bucks had a bad preseason as, out of five games played, they lost five, the last one tonight against the Brooklyn Nets.
They certainly have the excuse that the Greek has played only 2 out of 5 matches. However, the Wisconsin franchise is one of the favorites for the 2023 title and there is no way they could not bring home even one win between Memphis, Atlanta (2 times), Chicago and Brooklyn.
Far be it from us to pass judgment on the technical quality of the team as of October 13. But numbers are numbers and the data are there to prove that the Milwaukee Bucks\’ preseason has been nothing short of disastrous.
Now Giannis Antetokounmpo, Mike Budenholzer and co. will have to lock themselves in one of the secret rooms of the Fiserv Forum to try to find a solution to this uphill start. Between now and May is still six to seven months away, so there really is plenty of time to get back on their feet.
But this morning did not offer a good day and it is only fair that everyone in Milwaukee should be raising their antennae to avoid experiencing a colorless season like last year, which ended with a trivial conference semifinal against the Boston Celtics as defending champions.
