Danilo Gallinari in the summer was traded from Boston to the Washington Wizards, where he returned to the court after a year’s absence due to injury. In this start of the season, Blue has played 12 games with 8.3 points average but his experience in the Capital may not last long. His departure had already been talked about in recent weeks, but the rumor was also confirmed by Sam Amico.
The Wizards started the season badly, losing 11 of the 13 games they played. Reason why they might decide to monetize the assets they have, starting with Jordan Poole, who also arrived in the summer but has been disappointing so far. Gallinari could be among them: according to Amico, the Italian could be traded at the trade deadline but even earlier, in mid-December, when many players will become eligible to be traded. It will be at that point that the NBA market will open for real after a few months of calm, except for the Harden deal.
Gallinari, 35, could come in handy to some contenders for rotations ahead of the Playoffs.
