During the past Conference Finals, those between Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets, a mini-rivalry arose between the two franchises, mainly because of Mike Malone’s behaviors during the title celebration. Bruce Brown transferred in the summer to the Indiana Pacers, but his path crossed again yesterday with the yellow-viola in the final of the In-Season Tournament. As we all know, the Lakers won the first edition of the tournament, and after the game D’Angelo Russell missed no opportunity to get a pebble off his shoe.
At the end of the series between the Nuggets and Lakers in fact Brown had said of Russell: “He’s not the best of defenders, but at least he tries.”. Words that did not please the LA point guard.
