Colorado police also investigate Ja Morant case

The actions that led Ja Morant To be suspended for at least two games by the Memphis Grizzlies have also come under the magnifying glass of law enforcement. According to the Associated Press, Colorado police reportedly began an investigation after Morant filmed himself live on Instagram with a gun at a nightclub last weekend. The club was reportedly located in Glendale, near Denver.

A few hours earlier the Grizzlies star had played in Denver itself against the Nuggets, his last game in chronological order before his suspension. Gun possession laws in Colorado are very lax, but for example, it is forbidden to have one while intoxicated, as Morant may have been that night. In contrast, NBA regulations prevent players from carrying a weapon in team facilities or while traveling with their franchise.
