A stellar debut, that of Chet Holmgren in the jersey of the Oklahoma City Thunder in Summer League. The second overall call-up in the last draft, who remained in the running for the first until the very end but then surrendered to Paolo Banchero, played tonight against the Utah Jazz. Holmgren finished with 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and an impressive 6 steals in 23′.
The 6 stoppages (including 2 on giant Tacko Fall) are. a new Summer League record. When Holmgren heard about it during the postgame interview, he was surprised: “The record was only 6? Then I’ll beat it again…”.
“Only six? That’s the record? Oh, well I’m coming to break it again.”

And on Twitter, Holmgren’s reaction to his own performance was very simple: a laughing emoji.
