Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers was voted MVP of the NBA regular season, but it turned out that one voter did not have Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets among his top five. Charles Barkley was not happy to see this and made it known on TNT.
“Something bothered me, Joel deserved the MVP, but so did Joker and Giannis, it was fine whoever I voted for and whatever order I put in, but there’s one person, and I don’t know this fool’s name, who didn’t even put Joker in the top five.” said Charles Barkley via @ohnohedidnt24 on Twitter.
Charles Barkley: “I don’t even know this fool’s name, [he] didn’t have [Nikola Jokic] in the top 5 [for MVP voting]. People like that shouldn’t get a vote… You can be like some of these fools we’re letting vote for president out here… He’s a damn idiot.” pic.twitter.com/siyph0D18L

Ernie Johnson Jr. stepped in and said he hoped it was an oversight and that the voter had forgotten about Nikola Jokic. Barkley was having none of it.
“I don’t accept that, for the last six months we’ve been talking about the Joker, Giannis and Embiid. If you have a television or really watch basketball, if you don’t think he should have been in the top five, you don’t deserve to vote. I mean, you would be like some of these fools that we let vote for president out here.”
Ernie Johnson Jr. said there must be a good reason that led that person to make that choice.
