Chandler Parsons vs. Luka Doncic: “He’s still the same old m***, he’s not a good teammate!”

Luka Doncic is experiencing yet another phenomenal season in terms of statistics and is never more than this year one of the most serious candidates for the title of MVP of the regular season: the Slovenian, in the 55 games played so far, is traveling at the incredible averages of 34.6 points, 9 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game, shooting 49.6% from the field.

Despite Luka Doncic’s sci-fi numbers, his Mavericks. are unable to find a continuity of positive results and currently occupy the eighth position in the Western Conference with a record of 36 wins and 28 losses: a possible explanation for this paucity of results was given by Chandler Parsons, a former player just of the Mavs, who accused Doncic of being a bad teammate: “Luka is an incredible talent, he is literally the guard version of Jokic is he can do anything with the ball in his hands, he often leaves you speechless, but as a teammate, it’s a little tiring to stand there and watch the same old bleep possession after possession.
Then when you don’t win you get to thinking that you can try to do something different, maybe pass the ball occasionally to teammates! It can get frustrating for others.

Unlike other years, this year Luka can find help from teammates, the Mavs are deep, they have 9-10 strong players. He has a team around him, he has to use it! Luka can take almost all the shots and be on the court all the time, make assists and double triples but he has to find a way to keep everyone happy and win games, which is the most important thing.

Of course he’s always going to be judged, he’s always going to put together phenomenal stats regardless of his teammates, he’s always going to score 30 points and make 10 assists, he can always make the numbers, but the next step is to make them by winning games!
