They are the Boston Celtics has moved for Jrue Holiday, recently finished at the Portland Trail Blazers in the trade with the Bucks for Lillard. The veteran, a 2021 title winner in Milwaukee, was on his way out as Portland is headed for a long rebuilding, there were many contenders on him.
Boston takes Holiday from Portland in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams III, a 2024 first-round pick (via Warriors) and its own 2029 first-round pick with no protections.
Thus, at the starting ribbons of next season the Celtics will appear completely rehashed, without Brogdon, Williams III, Smart and Grant Williams. In their place, in addition to Holiday, will be Kristaps Porzingis.
The Celtics are trading Robert Williams, Malcolm Brogdon, 2024 GSW 1st, 2029 unprotected BOS first to the Blazers, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/gx53jyH1RG
