Paolo Banchero has been experiencing courtship from Italian basketball for many months but then nothing came of it because as of today it seems he wants to wear Team USA’s jersey. Recall that Banchero has never set foot in Italy in his life and the first time he will do so on June 14, invited by Sky to celebrate 20 years in our country.
This is an absolute first for the boy with a surname of very clear Italian origins who, however, has never seen the homeland of his grandparents and great-grandparents, who many decades ago moved to Oregon to find work and start a new life.
He will use this business engagement with Sky to also take a vacation in our country, beloved by Americans and often visited by NBA champions. We remember all the times LeBron James came on vacation to Sardinia or the Amalfi Coast.
