Anthony Edwards says Michael Jordan would not have been able to mark him

They say to be the best, you have to beat the best. Anthony Edwards, star of the Minnesota Timberwolves, is taking that attitude to the highest level. When Anthony Edwards was asked if Michael Jordan, known as one of the best perimeter defenders of all time, would be able to mark him, the Minnesota phenom responded with a candid “Hell no!” during a Complex show.

When pressed further about any perceived flaws in MJ’s defense, Edwards dismissed the issue by stating: “I just don’t think they would have been able to mark me.”.

‘Ant-man’ has previously expressed his ambition to surpass Jordan, stating: “I’m chasing my boy MJ. It’s going to be hard, but I’m chasing him.”

While Jordan is widely recognized as the greatest basketball player of all time by so many fans and insiders, 2020 first overall pick Edwards is showing a promising trajectory. This season he is averaging 24.4 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists.

That said, to get to Michael Jordan levels, Anthony Edwards still has to eat some dry pasta, as Leonardo Bonucci would say in this situation,
