Another maxi compensation to Vanessa Bryant

The court case filed by Vanessa Bryant vis-à-vis the County of Los Angeles ends with a maxi settlement For the widow of the late Kobe.

Vanessa sued the county because law enforcement officials who arrived at the scene of the tragic death of the Black Mamba and his daughter Gianna have took and disseminated photos of their battered bodies. The proceedings began in September 2020 and the first part had closed in August last year with a settlement of 15 million. Vanessa, however, went ahead and obtained another judgment in her favor, so the county will owe another approximately 14 million in its coffers, bringing the amount of the total compensation to almost 29 million dollars. Mrs. Bryant has previously stated that she will donate it all to charity.

Chris Chester, who lost his wife and daughter in the accident, was also awarded a $20 million settlement, according to ESPN.

The affair, it should be recalled, caused quite a stir in the United States, raising lengthy debates regarding the protection of the privacy of accident victims. Los Angeles County, in turn, will retaliate against Sheriff Alex Villanueva and the material authors of the incriminating shots. In the meantime, it can be said that justice has been served.
