Alperen Sengun AMAZING! Career-high and victory DOMINATING Wemby and the Spurs.

Alperen Sengun put up 45 points, 16 rebounds, and 5 steals, dominating the matchup with phenomenal rookie Victor Wembanyama and leading the Houston Rockets to a 114 to 101 victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.

Sengun, whose point total was his career high, got the better of Wembanyama in the post, who finished his game with 10 points, 11 rebounds and 7 blocked shots.

The Turk also netted a trio of three-pointers to set the tone for the Rockets, who received 44 total points from the starting backcourt of Fred VanVleet (21 points, 10 assists) and Jalen Green (23 points).

Alperen Sengun was the author of a crucial sequence in the fourth quarter that allowed the Rockets to take control, making a triple before stealing the ball from Wembanyama and then making a behind-the-back pass to Cam Whitmore (19 points) that led to a dunk and a 99-90 lead with 5:36 to go.

Devin Vassell led the Spurs with 22 points, while Malaki Branham and Keldon Johnson scored 20 and 18 off the bench, respectively. Jeremy Sochan added 15 points and, like Vassell, collected eight rebounds.
