Tonight Paolo Banchero was among the best in the Orlando Magic\’s success against the Memphis Grizzlies in the fourth NBA preseason match of the team that had the first overall pick in the summer.
The Seattle-born boy of Italian descent finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds, shooting 6/9 from the field and 5/5 on the clock. Definitely a level performance, confirming the excellent game against Dallas after the first two colorless games with 8 and 9 points scored.
Not only did Banchero allow Orlando to beat the Memphis Grizzlies, he also Franz Wagner, Wendell Carter Jr. and Terrence Ross did their part, combining 49 points, 20 rebounds and 16 assists, with the latter arguably being the best player on the court.
In general however the impressions are positive about this Orlando on Paul Banchero. We are only in preseason and the season is long however the young people of the franchise seem to be ready.
Let\’s see if these first good indications will translate into victory also during the regular season and maybe a good playoff placement. It will not be easy but not impossible either.
