L’All Star Game 2024 will be orphaned of two players, one of whom is particularly important: there will be no Joel Embiid and Julius Randle, due to knee and shoulder injuries, respectively. For Embiid there were fears of an early end to the season, but instead the player had surgery and will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks. Randle, on the other hand, will be absent for 4-6 weeks. The two replacements chosen by Adam Silver were announced a short while ago: they are. Trae Young and of Scottie Barnes.
Young was one of the main “snubs,” not summoned despite averages of 27.3 points and 10.9 assists. For Barnes, on the other hand, in his third year in the NBA, this is the first call-up for the All Star Game: in Toronto he is maintaining 20.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.
Toronto’s Scottie Barnes and Atlanta’s Trae Young have been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver as injury replacements on the Eastern Conference team for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game.
