Recently the former Phoenix Suns legend commented on the deal that brought Rudy Gobert to the Minnesota Timberwolves, calling it. “the worst trade in NBA history.” and adding that it was a “stupid” move.
This summer Minnie took the French center by giving the Utah Jazz first-round picks 2023, 2025, 2027, and 2029 in exchange for his own 2026 pick and a number of players, namely Patrick Beverley, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Leandro Bolmaro.
So far Minnesota is only ninth in the Western Conference, right behind Utah, and Gobert’s impact is far below expectations.
