In the summer, the family of LeBron James was struck by the sad news of the cardiac arrest suffered by the Bronny during a practice. The 2004 class, who was preparing for his first college season at USC, was hospitalized and after a few days discharged from the hospital. Bronny is now in good condition, but obviously the news has cast shadows on the continuation of his career that seemed destined for the NBA.
During the Lakers’ Media Day yesterday, LeBron was asked about his son and the King gave updates on his healing process.
“Bronny is doing very well. He has started his rehabilitation to get back on the court this season with his teammates at USC. Thanks to the surgery he underwent, he is now doing well. Certainly this summer has been a whirlwind of emotions for our family. But the best thing is that we have our family. We have remained close to each other. We gave Bronny the strength to go through this journey. We are happy to see where he is today, and we want to see what the future still has in store for him.” said the Lakers superstar.
James, whose ultimate goal before retiring is to play at least one season with his son in the NBA, also added that he wants to dedicate his 21st year in the league specifically to Bronny.
LeBron James says he’s dedicating his 21st NBA season to his son, Bronny James.
“It just puts everything into perspective … The only thing that matters is your family.”
