Adam Silver and the NBA front office must be pleased with what they have seen this year in the league, which currently features the most parity in decades, while still having famous names like LeBron James and Stephen Curry. Ironically, both Curry and James are at the bottom of the Western Conference playoff standings as the NBA prepares for the upcoming postseason.
One thing that fans looking at the upcoming schedule might notice is the fact that there are no NBA games scheduled for Saturday, April 13. The reason is that all 30 teams are busy both Friday 12 and Sunday 14, the last day of the regular season. The logic is that it would not be fair for any team to play the last game of the season, when the stakes are potentially so high, on the second night of a back-to-back.
Oddly enough, this will be the second time in the span of a week when there will be no NBA teams in action. In fact, on Monday, April 8, the league took a night off to make way for the NCAA national championship game, which saw the UConn Huskies defeat the Purdue Boilermakers handily and win their second consecutive college basketball victory.
