We got to experience Victor Wembanyama’s alien-like talent firsthand, and no one is more “over the moon” than San Antonio Spurs fans.
Although the season was marred by a dismal record, San Antonio was able to see Wembanyama’s early greatness and what they will have the pleasure of watching for years to come. A signed sneaker could be the next target for the No. 1 overall pick, as Nike recently announced an upcoming release.
Wembanyama is no stranger to being a Nike athlete, as he signed a multi-year deal with the brand while still playing for France. Although he has not yet been awarded his signature model, it is only a matter of time before we see it come to fruition.
During the regular season Wembanyama opted for the basic white/black sneaker color scheme, but for All-Star Weekend he sported a fun alien-themed pair. The model fit his alien build perfectly and Nike even decided to make it his personal logo for the future.
The shoes caught the attention of sneakerheads around the world. Given Victor Wembanyama’s fondness for the model, it was only a matter of time before Nike gave him his own dedicated colorway. Months after the debut of these shoes during All-Star Weekend, Nike on Monday decided to release a video dedicated to the Solar Eclipse.
