Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors played and won at Madison Square Garden against Donte DiVincenzo’s New York Knicks.
Lacking Julius Randle and OG Anunoby, the Warriors came out strong in the first quarter, outscoring New York 31-19. The Knicks, with Jalen Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo, played much better in the second quarter, steadily reducing the guests’ lead. DiVincenzo, who has played for Golden State in the past, did very well in the second period.
New York’s starting shooting guard is known for attacking bigs under the boards when necessary. In one such instance, DiVincenzo received this from Draymond Green:

Green’s elbow hit DiVincenzo’s face and drew blood from his nose. The referees did not whistle a foul on the former best defensive player of the year, as the foul was ruled accidental. The Madison Square Garden fans did not hold back and pelted the feisty player with booing as DiVincenzo writhed in pain on the ground.
Fortunately, Donte DiVincenzo returned from the locker room to play in the second half but it was not enough to prevent the Big Apple franchise from losing.
