NBA 2K23 continues to unveil details about the video game that will be released in September and is now available for pre-order.
After announcing the cover featuring Michael Jordan, 2K Sports unveiled that there will also be a cover dedicated to the WNBA. The big news is that there will be two players on the same cover, viz. Sue Bird e Diana Taurasi.
Continuing in the vein laid out with the selection of MJ, 2K wanted to include two more legends of basketball (this time women’s) stars and stripes. Bird, at 42 and after a career lived entirely with the Seattle Storm, announced her retirement at the end of the 2022 season. Taurasi, class of 1982, has been on the Phoenix Mercury roster continuously since 2004.
After the excellent feedback from last year’s edition, the first with a woman on the cover (Candace Parker), 2K has decided to give more space to the WNBA world. As of today, as mentioned, pre-orders have gone out, and in the next few hours 2K will also reveal the game’s latest cover.
