The secret to Donovan Mitchell’s 71 points? Video games and … Kyrie Irving

The 71 points of Donovan Mitchell are one of the hottest topics in the NBA world.

A feat so great that many other stars also commented on it. Among them were. Kyrie Irving who until a few hours ago shared with LeBron James the record for points in a game in a Cleveland jersey (57).

After his Brooklyn Nets’ 139-103 victory over San Antonio, Irving spoke about Mitchell’s performance, saying he was not surprised. The point guard, in fact, had noticed his friend very focused in the afternoon as they played an online game at Call of Duty. Royce O’Neale also attended the meeting.

Adding to the curiosity of the curtain call was Mitchell’s own clarification. Via Twitter, the big star of the NBA night explained that Irving himself had advised him to dunk a nap after their game of video games. A very useful nap indeed, given what “Spida” did shortly afterwards on the parquet.
