I Los Angeles Lakers have just picked up the jersey by Pau Gasol During the challenge won against the Memphis Grizzlies.
The whole evening was dedicated to the Spanish champion, so much so that everyone present at the Crypto.com Arena received his tank top as a gift. During the contest some footage appeared on the big screen complete with a standing ovation for Gasol.

The climax of the ceremony was at halftime, when the #16 jersey was hoisted to the ceiling of the facility, next to that of the late Kobe Bryant.
Gasol watched the scene moved, accompanied by his family (including his brother Marc), YellowViolet owner Jeanie Buss, and Vanessa Bryant, who returned to the arena for the first time since her husband’s passing. The Spanish phenom delivered a very touching speech.
Life goes by really fast. From one moment to the next you go from being a child playing at school with friends to living your dream. This evening, however, is much more than a dream and exceeds any expectations. With Kobe up there it takes on an even more powerful meaning. I am sad and happy at the same time, I feel joy and sorrow. I miss him so much but unfortunately there is nothing I can do besides transferring my love to his family.
