The 82 Club: who are the NBA players who haven’t missed a single game

The NBA regular season is in the archives and tomorrow the post-season will begin, starting with the Play-in. This year the league had introduced a minimum of 65 games played to be eligible for one of the individual or All-NBA quintet awards. There are those who did not make it like Joel Embiid and those who surprised, like Anthony Davis who played as many as 76 contests. But there are also those who did not miss a single game: a total of 17 athletes were always present.

Even Buddy Hield went overboard, playing 84 total games thanks to the trade that brought him from Indiana to Philadelphia in February. He is the NBA leader in games played, the only one since the 2004-05 season to play 84 (Casey Jacobsen did it that year).

Those who have been limited to playing the canonical 82 games are: Georges Niang (Cleveland Cavaliers), Harrison Barnes (Sacramento Kings), Mikal Bridges (Brooklyn Nets), Reggie Jackson (Denver Nuggets), Bobby Portis (Milwaukee Bucks), Jonas Valanciunas (New Orleans Pelicans), Obi Toppin (Indiana Pacers), Domantas Sabonis (Sacramento Kings), Jalen Green (Houston Rockets), Payton Pritchard (Boston Celtics), Austin Reaves (LA Lakers), Christian Braun (Denver Nuggets), Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Minnesota Timberwolves), Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City Thunder), Paul Reed (Philadelphia 76ers) and Cason Wallace (Oklahoma City Thunder).

Thus continues the record of Mikal Bridges, who has not missed a game since the 2019-20 season: he has played them all for 4 years.

Holmgren’s presence on this club is surprising, as the Thunder long man had missed all of last season due to injury.
