Another night to forget for the two Italian boys, Nico Mannion and Matteo Spagnolo, who did not see the court in NBA Summer League with the Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves, respectively.
Unfortunately, Spanish is at 4 NE in a row out of 4 games played by Minnie in Las Vegas. There are those who say he is not in top form however then it is a bit strange that they summoned him, usually only healthy players are brought into Summer League, and then ESPN has always talked about “coach’s decision”. How it was a Bucks coach’s choice not to employ even a minute tonight the former Virtus Bologna and who just signed a two-year deal with the Spanish Baskonia.
We are almost at the end of this Summer League and we can say that the balance for the two blue guys is rather negative, apart from Mannion’s first game that had given everyone hope. But these hopes were soon betrayed.
Let’s see if at least there will be Spanish’s Summer League debut and if Mannion will have a little more room in the next match against the Sacramento Kings.
