Some loves don’t end, Tristan Thompson returns to Cleveland

Tristan Thompson was for years one of the most important players in the Cleveland Cavaliers, with whom he won the NBA title in 2016 alongside LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. TT’s career did not go so well when he decided to leave Ohio, moving on to Boston, Sacramento, Indiana, Chicago, and ultimately the Los Angeles Lakers. The veteran played 111 games in three years away from Cleveland, with the Lakers last year just five and all in the Playoffs after a full regular season as a free agent.

Now, at 32, Thompson has decided to return to the Cavaliers, as reported by Adrian Wojnarowski. Definitely a heartfelt choice, at the Cavs he will be Evan Mobley’s backup and will form a respectable frontcourt with Jarrett Allen, Georges Niang and Damian Jones.
