Scoot Henderson of the Ignite, a G-League team, and French sensation Victor Wembanyama are widely projected as the first two overall picks at the 2023 NBA Draft.
Wembanyama is considered the overwhelming favorite to be chosen with the No. 1 overall pick and continues to receive rave reviews among NBA circles. Regardless of what the order will be at the NBA Draft, Henderson revealed his mindset and relationship with Wembanyama in an appearance on SiriusXM NBA Radio.
“There is a great level of mutual respect. I hope to be the first pick in the draft by trying to win it by going to the gym and giving it my all every day. I don’t try to pay attention to what others say about surely picking one or the other or feed the criticism. I work hard and it will show.”.
