A frightening fall by Luka Doncic makes the Dallas Mavericks.
The Slovenian phenom was injured during the third period of the showdown with the New Orleans Pelicans. At the score of 55-81 in favor of the Texans, Doncic attempted a central penetration and was opposed by Jonas Valanciunas. He relapsed and put his right ankle very badly and then violently slammed his back.
The back is not of much concern to the coaching staff, the problems are on the lower leg (ankle and heel) which Doncic immediately held in an attempt to get up.
The Slovenian left the court and did not return. The Mavericks still managed to win 106-111 with the 31 points scored by their star so far proving decisive.
Waiting now for instrumental exams that will define the extent of the injury and possible recovery time. Dallas, currently fifth but only one and a half wins ahead of 11th (Portland) hopes its star will remain in the pits for the shortest possible time.
