Russell Westbrook more and more in NBA history: set an incredible record

Russell Westbrook’s struggles with the Los Angeles Lakers have been well documented. But now it seems that the guard has found his role with the other team in the “City of Angels.” Since signing with the Los Angeles Clippers after the trade deadline, Westbrook has given the team the spark it needed. He came out big against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday on the road with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George kept at rest. Russell Westbrook also made some NBA history by becoming the first player to have a 30-point, 10-assist game with five different teams according to ESPN Stats&Info.

Russell Westbrook finished the NBA game with 36 points and ten assists and shot 13 of 18 from the field and 5 of 5 from the three-point line. Westbrook also played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards, where he also recorded 30 points and 10 assists. The Brodie completed a phenomenal game by also ejecting a Grizzlies fan.

Entering Wednesday’s contest, Westbrook played 15 games for the Clippers, all as a starter. During that stretch he scored an average of 13.9 points, grabbed an average of 5 rebounds, dished out 7.3 assists and recovered 1.3 balls per game, shooting 46.8 percent from the field.
