RJ Barrett returns to talk after brother’s death in chilling press conference

A few days ago RJ Barrett had to suffer the sudden death of his brother Nathan.

The Canadian player was away from the parquet for a few days. Before returning to play, he met with the press, telling in chilling words how he experienced a mourning so serious.

Nathan was my brother but also my best friend. I miss him more and more every day. I often text him, sometimes I even try to call him. It is a very complicated time for me but he would have wanted to see me here. He would have wanted me to resume playing by helping to grow our dynasty even more. I thank everyone for their support, especially the Raptors who gave me all the time I needed and welcomed me back in a great way. Several people from the franchise came to the funeral and helped me, it means so much to me. I’m glad to be back first of all because I love playing but then because this routine of training, sweat, hard work to win and improve helps me get away from certain thoughts at least for a while. When I play I find a little bit of peace, plus the teammates try to make me have as much fun as possible. It has happened to me before to lose loved ones but this time it is much harder, I can only think about having to go on day by day.
