I Philadephia 76ers still believe they can go all the way this season, despite Joel Embiid’s injury. Initially it was feared that the center would miss the rest of the season, but after knee surgery the news has been more comforting. Embiid will still miss more than a month and we will probably see him again around April, but in the meantime the Sixers still decided to strengthen the roster on the last day of the market. From Indiana they picked up Buddy Hield, giving up Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz and three future second-round draft picks to the Pacers.
Morris and Korkmaz were in the process of leaving Philadelphia and will surely find more space in Indianapolis. The Sixers on their side add one of the NBA’s best shooters, who this season is keeping 12.0 points average on 38 percent from three-point range.
The Indiana Pacers are trading Buddy Hield to the 76ers for Marcus Morris, Furkan Korkmaz and three second-round picks, sources tell ESPN.
