Paul Banchero signs sponsorship deal with Jordan

Paul Banchero was obviously the most coveted of the sneaker free agents who entered the NBA since the last Draft. The No. 1 overall call-up will sign a contract with the Jordan brand, as reported by Shams Charania. Details of that deal have not been revealed, but it will certainly bring several million dollars into Banchero’s pockets, which will be in addition to the abundant 11 he will take from the Magic.

Coming off a freshman season at Duke, Banchero surprised everyone by being picked first in the last draft and showing all his qualities in two Summer League games. Then Orlando decided to stop him because it was satisfied with what it saw without the need to risk injury. Now the long, naturalized Italian and waiting to wear the Azzurri jersey, will join the Jordan brand athlete park that already counts stars such as Russell Westbrook, Luka Doncic, Chris Paul, Jayson Tatum, Zion Williamson and Carmelo Anthony.

Banchero has been training with several NBA stars these days, once again showing off his qualities.
