Paul Banchero at the levels of LeBron James and Grant Hill in debut

Stellar debut for the other Italian in the NBA, Paolo Banchero, who against the Detroit Pistons lost but was the absolute star of the game. The Orlando Magic\’s first overall call-up ended his first official NBA game with 27 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 stoppages and 11/18 shooting.

No first overall pick had scored that much in his first NBA game since 1996, when Allen Iverson put up 30 in his debut.

But not only that: in the last 30 years, only three players have debuted in the NBA with at least 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. LeBron James, Grant Hill, and now Paul Banchero.
